The summer has been a good one, so far. The silage is wrapped, the hay is saved and the turf is home so whats next?
Safety! Rarely the first thing that pops into our heads but it really should be. What can go wrong if I do this or that? What little things around the place are broken? Are the lights on the tractor up to snuff? Are there modifications that would make handling animals safer? They’re the type of jobs that get put off because there’s something more important happening or coming around the corner.
It can be hard to be critical of your own set up so why not invite one of your neighbours over for a different view on things. Tackle what jobs you can and get help for the ones you can’t but don’t put it on the long finger again.
